TS House

I was approached by a US architectural practice to collaborate with the design of a new contemporary house. The site was a vacant plot, without nearby houses, located in Arizona, with a very steep topography and arid landscape. The clients have a very active social life, and the guests and living areas were an important part of the brief. The house was designed taking advantage of the existing topography, placing the living quarters and swimming pool at the front of the house, and the sleeping areas at the back. The proposal seeks to create a statement into the existing landscape, whilst embrace it and use it to enhance it. The language is minimalist and is reflected by several planes of concrete and glass blending into the land.
